Laxmi Puja falls on the first full moon day after the Durga Puja and is an important religious event of Hindu Bengali tradition. With blessing and support from the local Bengali community, Utsav Laxmi Puja Committe organized the Laxmi Puja. The priest for this auspicious occasion was our fellow Utsavite Shri Pranab Mukherjee. The celebrations included Puja, Pushpanjali, Prasad, Dinner, A Cultural Program of Bengai Song, Poetry, Drama. Utsav thanks its esteemed members, guests, pathrons, the priest, Lynnwood Reforme Church, and last but not the list, Rick Schrade of Schrade Insurance (insurance agent for Utsav) for making this Laxmi Puja a memorable event. With everyone's continued support, Utsav will keep spreading the flavor of Bengal to the Capital Region community. The Laxmi Puja Committee also wishes to thank all volunteers for their time and energy and all Utsavites for believing in the Puja committee and as always extending every help and support.
