Utsav celebrated its second Durga Puja Festival in New York Capital Region (NYCR) on Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21. With blessings and support from all its well-wishers not only from the NYCR but also from as far places as Syracuse and New Jersey, Utsav Durga Puja Committe once again organized a truly memorable and one of its kind Durga Puja in NYCR. The priest for this auspicious occasion was our own Pt. Shri Balu Dixit. Sandhyarati was performed by our patron from New Jersey, Shri Rana Halder. Saturday celebrations included Puja, Pushpanjali, Prasad, Lunch, a Musical Evening, Sandhyarati and Dinner. Sunday celebrations included Puja, Pushpanjali, Prasad, Sindur Khela, Bisarjan. As always, the event was open to public. The mood was festive. The puja was enchanting. The food was delicious. People were once again on cloud nine. Utsav thanks its esteemed members, guests, patrons, the priest, Niskayuna High School, and Rick Schrade of Schrade Insurance for making this Durga Puja such a success. With everyone's continued support, Utsav will keep spreading the flavor of Bengal in the NYCR. The Durga Puja Committee wishes to convey its heartfelt thanks to all volunteers for their time and energy and all Utsavites for once again believing in the Puja committee and as always extending every help and support. United we stand.
